Kenyon Machine has been in business  over 42 years.  It was started by Fred Kenyon in 1967.  The original location was on Turquoise Street in Pacific Beach.  Meanwhile, Greg King, a La Jolla native and current owner, opened Greg King’s Garage on the same street in 1968.

In 1974, Greg began working part time at Kenyon Machine.  A year later, he became Fred’s partner in the shop.  They worked together until 1977, when Fred retired.  Greg took over the shop and has been the owner ever since.

Over time, additional buildings, service bays, a welding and auto body shop have been added.  The business has been constantly expanding throughout the years as need has grown for different services.
